Berry Medical has been partnering with independent doctors in the delivery of their services to their patients in the Berry Community for over 28 years. The practice has a group of doctors that each brings their own expertise and skills. Modern general practice involves working with nurses, receptionists, allied health professionals and local hospitals.  The practice employs nurses who are highly skilled and involved with your care from the acute emergency to managing chronic diseases.

DR NEIL DONOVAN – MBBS (Hons Syd), Dip. Paed., DRACOG, FRACGP

Dr Neil Donovan completed his medical degree at Sydney University and has since completed further diplomas in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and skin cancer. He has been admitted to the Fellowship of General Practitioners and is involved in training medical students, registrars and research in general practice. Dr Donovan operates his own medical services business at Berry Medical ABN 32942411684

Dr Donovan can provide comprehensive health checks, and runs a weekly clinic for minor operations. He has been involved over many years with the hospital service; specifically sexual assaults, obstetrics and accident and emergency. He has maintained his skills in acute medicine and undertakes locum work in rural and remote placements. His other interests include family, fitness and trying to be outdoors as much as possible.


DR INGRID BUCHNER – Dr.Med. (Ger.), Dip.Paed., FRACGP

Dr Ingrid Buchner was born in Munich, Germany, where she completed her medical studies and started her medical career in anaesthetics, intensive care and emergency medicine. After moving to Australia with her family in 1998 she completed her training in general practice and was awarded the Fellowship of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She undertook further postgraduate training in paediatrics at the Sydney Children`s Hospital in Randwick and completed a course in skin cancer management in primary care and provides regular skin checks and minor procedures list. She is involved with medical student and registrar training and outside work enjoys reading, family life and spending time being active in the great Australian climate, without getting sunburnt. DR ELIZABETH ROBERTSON-CUNINGHAME- B Med. (Hons)

Dr Elizabeth Robertson-Cuninghame (Liz) began her training as a GP 30 years ago and says she has been learning from her patients ever since. A graduate of Newcastle University, she worked in Sydney and Tumut before moving with her family to the Shoalhaven in 1998. Soon after she began work at Berry Medical Centre and really enjoys being part of this growing, vibrant medical practice. Dr Elizabeth Robertson- Cuninghame operates her own medical services business at Berry Medical ABN 94063835062. She is also a Senior Visiting Medical Officer with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and works as a GP at Crossroads Youth Health and Links House Sexual Assault Service. Her areas of interest and expertise include adolescent, women’s and mental health. In the last few years she has also enjoyed collaborating with adult and adolescent psychiatrists to provide telepsychiatry at Berry Medical Centre. At this time Dr Elizabeth Robertson-Cuninghame is not accepting new patients.


DR LUCIE STANFORD – B. Med (Hons.) FRACGP

Dr Lucie Stanford is an experienced GP and medical educator, with a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and mental health. Dr Lucie Stanford operates her own medical services business at Berry Medical  ABN 99407570740. Lucie also works for the general practice training program, teaching other doctors who are training to become GPs. When she’s not at work, Lucie can probably be found in her garden, hanging out with her family or at the gym.

 


DR JOHN THOMSON – MBBS, FRACGP

Dr John Thomson studied medicine at Sydney University and enjoys the wide variety of general practice while having a specialist interest in palliative care, sharing the on call roster for the Karinya Palliative Care Unit at David Berry Hospital. He regularly hosts medical students from the University of Wollongong at Berry Medical Centre. Dr John Thomson operates his own medical services business at Berry Medical ABN 29454938702.

DR JESSICA WILSON – BSC(Hons), MBBS FRACGP, Dip Child Health

Dr Wilson completed a Bachelor of Health and Sports Science at UNSW and worked as a personal trainer whilst studying Medicine at Sydney University. She completed her Fellowship of General Practice in Newcastle and has completed further postgraduate training in Paediatrics, sexual and reproductive health. She enjoys all facets of family medicine, in particular women’s and children’s health. When not at work she is busy racing around after three young children. Dr Jessica Wilson operates her own medical services business at Berry Medical  ABN 48482716619.

 

 


DR SARA BIALCZYK – MBBS, BHSc (Hons)

Dr Sara grew up in Canada, having completed a university degree in Health Sciences and working as a tennis coach prior to moving to Australia to study medicine at the University of Wollongong. She has a special interest in Women’s Health (Obstertics & Gynaecology) as well as Paediatrics, having spent extra time doing hospital work in both disciplines. Dr Sara has her FPAA Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health, and can perform all contraceptive options including the Mirena/Kyleena/Copper IUDs (with local anaesthetic/numbing options) and the Implanon. She is very involved in antenatal care, and can also perform medical abortions (MS-2Step).

Even though Dr Sara does a lot of Women’s + Children’s Health, she enjoys all aspects of medicine (from paediatrics to geriatrics) and providing personalised care for her patients in the Berry area. Dr Sara operates her own medical services business at Berry Medical Centre ABN 27670356643, and does a lot of longer half hour consults, which cost $168 (Medicare rebate $80.10). When not at work, Dr Sara enjoys spending time with her family and friends, surfing, biking, running and camping.


DR SARAH PARK – MD

Dr Sarah graduated with an MD from the University of Sydney and completed her 2 years of hospital training at Royal North Shore Hospital. During her general practice rotation as a medical student in Shoalhaven Heads, she found her lifelong partner, Liam, her dream of living down the beautiful South Coast and her calling to be a GP. To that end, she focused her hospital training in areas such as Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatric Emergency and Emergency Medicine. Over the past year as a GP registrar, she has enjoyed getting to know her community and providing care for patients at all stages of life.


DR IRINA JOVANOVIC – MBBS (Netherlands), FRACGP

Dr Irina completed her medical degree in the Netherlands in 2013, and has gained invaluable experience in Emergency Medicine for several years before switching to General Practice. She’s very passionate about travelling and exploring new cultures, always striving for a balanced life with surfing, yoga and meditation as her main hobbies. Over the past years, Irina has developed an increasing interest in holistic patient care, focusing on prevention of disease and acknowledging the importance of a healthy mind-body axis. Irina operates her own medical services business at Berry Medical Centre ABN 98135327451. Specific areas of medicine Irina enjoys are Paediatrics (children), Women’s Health and antenatal (pregnancy) care, and Skin Cancer Medicine (surgical excisions – torso/limbs).


DR MARJAN MASOUD – MD

With over a decade of experience in regional and tertiary emergency departments in NSW, Marjan has a comprehensive background. She has undertaken diverse rotations, including six months in paediatrics, a year in ICU and anaesthetics, along with medical wards rotations. Marjan holds an advanced diploma in emergency medicine from the Australian College of Emergency. Her fervour lies in paediatric medicine, and she is particularly interested in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, with a focus on preventing critical diseases.

 

 


PRACTICE NURSES

Our Registered Nurses offer a broad range of services; triaging emergencies, immunisations, assist with procedures, wound management, womens wellness clinics with cervical screening, better health clinics, diabetes management, IV infusions, life coaching and achieving better health outcome for our patients. They conduct a regular INR clinic every weekday morning. Our nurses provide a valued role in your care and have special interests in both clinical and lifestyle care. Appointments are available every week day to see one of our nurses.


RECEPTIONISTS

Our receptionists have a vital role in our practice and are your first point in contact. They are the smiling faces at our front desk and are always here to assist you in any way they can. Our receptionists have years of experience in general practice and look forward to supporting any need you may have.
